Argan Oil Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
Your EHS and receiving teams need a current safety data sheet before argan oil arrives on site. This page shows what an argan oil SDS covers under OSHA’s 16-section format, what to check in each section, and how to request the SDS for our argan oil.
The OSHA 16-section format
Under OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200, Appendix D), a safety data sheet uses sixteen sections in a fixed order. Sections 1–11 and 16 carry mandatory content; Sections 12–15 are part of the harmonised GHS layout, but OSHA does not enforce their content because other agencies regulate those topics.
Our SDS for argan oil follows this structure. Classification, identifiers and values are those stated on the SDS for the grade you receive — we do not publish them here, so your team always works from the controlled document.

FAQ
Procurement questions
Is an MSDS the same as an SDS?
MSDS is the older name. Current U.S. practice under OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard uses the 16-section SDS format described on this page.
Can I download your argan oil SDS?
The SDS is sent on request so you receive the controlled version for the grade you are evaluating. Use the technical documents request form.
Which CAS number is on your argan oil SDS?
The CAS number(s) for our argan oil are stated in Section 3 of the applicable SDS. Industry-wide, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil is listed under 223747-87-3 and 299184-75-1.
