Bulk Packaging & Volume Formats
Packaging decides how argan oil arrives, how it is stored at your plant and a surprising share of landed cost. Formats are confirmed on each quotation; this page shows what to specify.
Confirmed packaging formats
Industry-standard formats are 1–25 L jerrycans, 200 L drums and 1,000 L IBC totes; available formats confirmed with quotation.
We list packaging formats and net contents here only once they are confirmed. Tell us your preferred format and receiving constraints on the RFQ. What to specify for bulk packaging.
What to specify for bulk packaging
- Container type your plant can receive and empty (drum, IBC, smaller units)
- Material compatibility requirements (e.g. food-grade HDPE, lined steel)
- Closure and tamper-evidence requirements
- Nitrogen flushing or headspace expectations, if any
- Label content: product, grade, lot, net weight, your PO
- Pallet type, height and stacking limits at your warehouse
How packaging affects your quotation
Smaller containers cost more per unit of oil to fill, handle and ship; larger containers need handling equipment at your site. If you are unsure, tell us your equipment and storage constraints and we will quote the formats that fit.
Receiving and storing bulk containers
Once a drum or IBC is opened, the oil inside is exposed to air, so plan withdrawals to minimise headspace over time and reseal promptly. Store containers away from heat sources and direct light, and follow the storage recommendation on the specification sheet for your grade.
If your plant decants bulk oil into smaller day containers, record the lot number on every container so the COA stays traceable to what goes into each production batch.
